Barbados Villa Services (BVS) is dedicated to ensuring that you have a positive experience from the first point of contact to the time you leave our shores. We started this business as a favour to a friend who asked Joe in 1998 to completely renovate his apartment at Glitter Bay and we then went on to manage it. From there we have now grown to managing 103, 107, 109, 113, 201, 204, 206, 207, 210, 211, 302, 303, 305, 307, 308, 312 and 313, a total of 17 apartments! Barbados Villa Services is a member of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) which is a not for profit organisation working tirelessly to enhance the overall visitor experience.
While Barbados Villa Services is the largest villa rental and management company that operates at Glitter Bay our portfolio also includes properties in Sandy Lane (1), Royal Westmoreland (3), Mount Standfast (3), Sunset Crest (1), The Falls (1), The Moorings (6), Mullins Bay (9), , Mullins (2), Apes Hill (2), Lion Castle (1), . Owners have entrusted us to look after their investment and we take this responsibility seriously.
Our combined experience in tourism and property management and maintenance has enabled us to focus on ensuring that the properties in our portfolio are kept to a high standard for each owner while understanding the needs for our rental clients. Joe spent 7 years in the British Army in The Royal Engineers 59 Commandos and on leaving moved back to Plymouth to work in property management specialising in refurbishing MOD properties as well as managing student accommodation properties until he moved to Barbados in 1996. I returned from my studies at University of Toronto and joined the Hilton Hotel, then Pan American Airways ticketing and airport office, moving to Treasure Beach Hotel as reservationist and duty manager and finally Elegant Resorts, one of the top UK Tour Operators where the experience, under the guidance of Bonnie Davis, was invaluable in establishing our service levels at Barbados Villa Services.
In Barbados, Joe has worked in construction and property maintenance for several prestigious homes on the island including Robert Sangster’s ‘Janes Harbour’, Hans Rausing’s ‘Greensleeves’, John Moreton’s ‘Alegria’, Kyffin Simpsons residence at The Crane and all Simpson Motors corporate buildings before forming TREC which managed the communal property of Glitter Bay, taking over from Fairmont Hotels. He left the company in 2011 to come over to Barbados Villa Services to head our maintenance and renovations works. His hands on approach and years of building/maintenance experience both in the UK and in Barbados has proven invaluable to owners in maintaining their property to the high standards expected.
Our Barbados Villa Services team consists of 3 Villa Managers, Tanya, Monique and Danielle. Our office staff are Rae as Head of Accounts and supported by Anthea and Julie. We have a maintenance and garden team of Kassim, John, Janiero and Aaron. We also oversee all the individual housekeepers and gardeners of the properties.
