Glitter Bay was closed for refurbishment from 08 September to 19 October 2014 inclusive. This is the time of year when owners of the privately owned apartments can remodel and refurbish the interiors of their apartments. During closure we do not usually accept rental reservations because of the possible disruptions that may be caused due to the works being carried out.
This is also the time when the communal areas of Glitter Bay are worked on as well. This year shall see the replacement of the small wooden bedroom windows being refitted with aluminium framed windows. These will stand up better to the elements and will allow for an overall uniform look throughout the property.
The exciting work will be Glitter Bay 302 'Always Summer'. This is a three bedroom penthouse suite located in the first block closest to the sea and will be transformed in its entirety. The bottom level will encompass over 1100 square feet of living space making this into a one bedroom superior suite like no other at Glitter Bay. The new owners are very excited about this project and are ensuring that the area is transformed into a sleek coastal oasis in which it will be 'always summer'. The master bedroom will have a beautiful view of the ocean and this view is extended to the double balcony - perfect place to savour that morning coffee to start the day. It will also be the perfect place to mix that pre-dinner cocktail while watching the spectacular sunsets every evening. The spacious kitchen will be fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker plus all the necessary glassware, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, bakeware and kitchen linens. The bathroom will be ensuite and will have a double vanity - plenty of space for everyone! Unique to this apartment will be the installation of a washer and dryer (one bedrooms do not have this) as well as a powder room. The views from this apartment are stunning capturing the ocean and beach as well as the pool and gardens of the property. The renovation work will be undertaken by Joe Troulan and his team and we can hardly wait to have it completed for end of October! Other apartments will be refreshed with new throw cushions, bed covers, bed linen and towels. We have sourced new linens and towels which we will be phasing into use over the next couple of months and will add to the overall villa experience.
