TM The Moorings 'The Bridge' - Studio Upper Level

Stephens place was a lot better than we expected! The studio apartment was the space we needed but the absolute best part of staying here is basically having your own private beach and it is extremely quiet! A big bonus is that you sometimes get to see baby turtles! People are really friendly, supermarket was just across the street so we barely went out for food (had a couple of BBQs in the garden), bus stop is extremely close so you can get anywhere around the island. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back!”

“The place is absolutely amazing. My partner and me spent here roughly a week, hoping to relax and recharge after a few difficult months filled with work. I think the apartment was perfect for this with its location - it is in an area that is less touristy (no big hotels), but you still have everything you need around you - even walking distance. The sea is just 5 steps from the garden gate (literally!!!). The beach is lovely with its palm trees and turquoise water and there are tanning beds and umbrellas provided. There are some rocks on the few first meters of the beach, so it can get a bit harsh when the water gets choppy during high tide. We took this as an opportunity and drove to the beaches in the bay on the South - Carlisle bay. It is a short 20-25 min drive, sandy beach and you can easily spot turtles here of you swim out a bit with a snorkeling gear. The apartment is facing a main road and on the other side of it there is a supermarket and a lovely local restaurant ( take -away) - which is definitely worth a try. We had all we needed to prepare our meals,as the kitchen is very well equipped (pans and pots, toaster, kettle moka maker, blender - we enjoyed our smoothies a lot!!). There are also other restaurants (a bit more fancy with a beach view and also some more local ones) and also a fish market if you drive a bit up north ( less than 5 min). The apartment itself was very nicely designed, clean, had a very comfortable big bed and spacious bathroom with washing machine, iron + board. There is AC and also fans in the room and we were always super comfortable inside. The communication with the host was great- super easy and fast via airbnb. There was a welcome sheet waiting for us in the kitchen with instructions about who to call if we miss anything -but we really didn't miss a thing! =) I also met the host's brother on the beach, who made sure we have all we need (as the Stephen was staying abroad at the time). I think that this apartment is a great choice whether you just want a relaxing holiday (as you have everything you need walking distance) or if you are looking for a good base to explore the island from.
