Horse Racing at Garrison Savannah

Thoroughbred Horse Racing in Barbados has taken place at the Garrison Savannah for over 150 years. The Barbados Turf Club organizes three seasons of racing per year. These seasons run from January to April; May to August and from October to December, normally every other Saturday. There are usually nine races per day, starting around 12:30 pm and finishing around 5:45 pm.

Admission:
Entrance fee to the various stands ranges from Bds $10.00 to $100.00 for the day.
Admission is free to the grounds.

Today we have the Massy United Insurance Derby.
This is the Third Jewel in the Barbados Triple Crown.

The race offers Bds $68,000.00 in stakes.

This year is the 75th anniversary of the running of the Barbados Derby.
