The Open House programme is presented by the Barbados National Trust.
Clifton Hall is this week's Open House.
Clifton Hall is one of Barbados’ oldest and grandest great houses. Set in ample gardens, Clifton Hall joins a medieval structure to a later, Georgian mansion. Its gracious Palladian double entrance staircase, arcaded gallery, and spacious reception rooms belie the Jane Eyre element concealed upstairs. Its treasure was recently rescued from ruination by owners who have stylishly transformed the house for modern living and yet retained its historical character.
No stilettos please!
